The 25th of August 2011 is a day to be remembered. Steve Jobs has resigned as CEO of Apple

Steve-jobs1
Today the tech world got hit by a massive announcement. Steve Jobs resigned as CEO of Apple. After the announcement, the Social Web caught fire, especially Twitter as did all the blogs and news websites. Love him or hate him, he is the epitome of innovation and business prowess of our time and in my opinion of all time.

Along with all the other blogers, Apple lovers and haters, I too wanted to post something, something small but meaning-full towards the man that as far as I am concerned changed the future of mankind towards the best. Maybe some can’t understand this, but as time goes by and we look back in history, we will see that it was he who invented the personal computer, portable music, the real smartphone, the tablet and many many more devices which we now use in our every day lives.

MOTOROLA ATRIX Promo

Now this is what I call an innovative device! Who would have imagined back in 1999 that a mobile phone (besides acting as a phone) would access the web, work as a mini media centre connected to your TV and as a portable computer that can doc to screens and turn into Laptops!

Motorola has really outdone it self with this device. Let's see what Apple will come up with in the iPhone 5!

Android 3.0 Sneak Peek: A Screenshot Preview by PCWorld

In 1999 the only tablets existed in Star Trek and other similar futuristic shows and films. Now 12 years later, Google introduces Android 3.0 Honeycomb, an OS that is built for Tablets only. Since the introduction of the iPad last year, the whole planet has gone Tablet crazy and Google has taken the opportunity to dip its fingers into that industry also.

Android 3.0 Honeycomb looks very impressive and certainly brings up the heat in the Tablet Market. Look out Apple iPad, Android 3.0 Honeycomb is here and it looks cool!

Mac App Store now OPEN! Buy, download, and install apps made for Mac.

In 1999 we just started using CD ROMs to install software on our Macs and look at how things have changed now! Would you have ever imagined back then that you could install anything over the web? Would you have imagined back then that CD ROMs would be useless now?

Today is one of those days that need to be remembered. Why? Well because today Apple not only changed the way we install applications on our Macs, but it also took a HUGE step to making the OSX platform a lot easier for non tech savvy users.
